O Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística divulgou no dia 28 de junho os dados do Censo de 2022. Segundo o levantamento, o Brasil tem 203.062.512 de habitantes, um crescimento populacional de 6,45% desde a edição anterior da pesquisa, em 2010. O censo deveria ter sido realizado em 2020, mas devido a pandemia não ocorreu, também não aconteceu no ano seguinte, 2021, pois o governo não deixou recursos para a pesquisa, foi necessário uma ação do STF para que o IBGE pudesse realizar o Censo em 2022.
O Censo é um instrumento fundamental para a coleta de dados demográficos, econômicos e sociais de uma população. No caso do Brasil, o Censo 2022 trouxe informações surpreendentes e relevantes sobre a dinâmica populacional do país.
Uma das primeiras constatações que chamam a atenção é o crescimento populacional brasileiro.
